The 5th of June is the World Environmental Day. The climate emergency is on our doorstep and it is vital to react. The french organization Pistes-Solidaires has decided to get involved in this event by launching an environment week for its host volunteers. An opportunity for Edgar and Jhanny to discover the association's brand new shared garden.
Discovering the shared garden
In the lovely city of Pau in southwest France, the french organization Pistes-Solidaires, coordinator of the European Volunteers for the Environment project, has decided to create its own shared garden for the 2022 season. With the support of a few local partners but especially thanks to the diversity of its team, the garden is sure to offer a great variety of plants, fruits and vegetables!
During the week for the environment, Jhanny and Edgar discovered the Pistes-Solidaires shared garden. As a new initiative of the organization, they started from scratch to create more than fifteen planters to plant all kinds of vegetables. Jhanny and Edgar could participate in its implementation and help the team to take care of the shared garden.
Planting seeds and seedlings, watering etc., they are now pros at vegetable gardening. It is also an opportunity for them to discover French farming culture.
