WHAT IF EUROPEAN VOLUNTEERING WAS A SPRINGBOARD FOR A GREENER EUROPE?
Climate change and the fight to protect the environment are a worry for many young people. We all know it's time to act, but we don’t really know how.
THAT'S A PROBLEM...
Not knowing how to act, what to do, can make
you eco-anxious, sometimes even developing
a feeling of guilt.
THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WANT!
While we certainly can't change the world on our own, together we can contribute, effectively.
SMALL ACTS, BIG IMPACTS,THIS IS WHAT WE BELIVE IN!
Young people are the most capable of developing new ways of living, showing the way, and building greener lifestyles. This is what we see with young people!
European Volunteers for the Environment believes that given the climate emergency and environmental awareness, the youth and European volunteering sector is THE sector that can make a difference.
Why with European volunteers?
Because this can be easier to achieve when we are volunteering. Being abroad, we’re more open to new things, to adapt and change and we’re eager to act differently. What is changing inside us can have effects around us.
Then, why not combine any European volunteering with environmental awareness?
This is the core idea of the European for Volunteers project.
1
PASSING ON KNOWLEDGE
Stop complexity! Act local, act daily!
Let’s provide young people with concrete and daily-life information on how to act at our levels, simply and daily.
We’ve been working on making things easy to understand and on explaining them to you, as they should always be explained, connected to you and your life, as a volunteer, as a young person, as a European
2
ACT SMALL, ACT DAILY
Of course, we all know something, and to know doesn’t mean to act.
Do we really know how to act concretely?
To act, it’s not about banning or judging what is good or bad, its rather finding easy and simple alternatives, little things that we can really afford and do in our everyday lives
We’ve gathered dozens of ideas of actions that everyone could do to become actEVE
Get support: we’ve gathered plenty of ideas to provide training to European volunteers’s tutors (and youth workers), activities to take action for the ecological transition during the volunteering, no matter if the mission is directly linked to the environment or not.

SHARE IDEAS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Share ideas and engagement opportunities is a key.
We have initiated a valorisation day (EVE Day) to and promote the engagement of he volunteers and their host organisations, share ideas and good practices to make them known widely!
